We are pleased to announce that we will be starting the planning process for the next iteration of our strategic plan. We believe in the progress we have made under Success by Design and feel that its objectives will provide a strong foundation to continue to build upon.
The heart of a university’s strategic plan is its institutional vision: what the university is working towards as it seeks to fulfill its mission. 91´óÉñ’s current vision statement is as follows:Â
Reflecting on the tenure of Success By Design, 91´óÉñ has sought, and in many cases achieved these desired outcomes. We have continued to redefine ourselves in order to provide a more welcoming environment to foster student access and success, and developed many new, exciting partnerships at the local and even international level. Moreover, in recent years 91´óÉñ has been nationally recognized for its exceptional value and the positive impact on the social mobility of our graduates.
We believe that this vision accurately reflects the current state and future direction of 91´óÉñ and will serve as a guiding light as we craft our next strategic plan over the course of the coming year.
Throughout the Strategic Planning process, members of the campus community will be invited to share their insights, ideas, and vision for our university.
Building on feedback received during our Preliminary Listening Sessions this past Spring, a series of themetic forums were held focusing on organizational culture, student success, and regional engagement. Feedback recieved during these forums and through online submissions will be heavily utilized as the committee strives to build a preliminary framework for our next strategic plan.
Thank you to everyone who was able to our attend our Preliminary Listening Sessions this past April. We received valuable insight into our perceived strengths, challenges, and opportunities for the future. The information gathered has served as an excellent starting point for our committee to begin the planning process, and we look forward to gathering additional feedback throughout the coming year.
We are eager to hear your perspective, answer any questions, and discuss the planning process with you further.
This team will provide a diverse range of thought, ensure a manageable workload, and allow for quick and decisive action. Committee activity will predominately be completed during Fall and Spring semester. Each committee member will be provided with a term limit that is open to renewal.
