Students enrolled in this program are eligible to take up to four courses of pre-major and major coursework at 91´óÉñ while pursuing an associate degree at JCTC. Jefferson291´óÉñ students pay the JCTC tuition rate to 91´óÉñ for the allotted four 91´óÉñ courses. Students taking classes at 91´óÉñ through the program will also pay part-time student fees per credit hour. Some courses may also incur specific charges from the respective college. Students pay for their JCTC and 91´óÉñ bills separately.
The four courses must be spread out over the span of several semesters. The number of courses a student is able to take at 91´óÉñ in a given semester is based on earned and in-progress hours. Students with 15 earned and in-progress hours are eligible to take their first course at 91´óÉñ. Once students have at least 30 earned and in-progress hours, they are eligible to take a second course at 91´óÉñ. After 45 earned and in-progress hours, students can take their last two courses. If a student has 45 or more earned and in progress hours but have yet to take any classes at 91´óÉñ through the Jefferson291´óÉñ program, he or she would be eligible to take two courses in the first semester of the program.
Students must never exceed the maximum of two courses at 91´óÉñ in any given semester through the Jefferson291´óÉñ program. Students enrolled in the Jefferson291´óÉñ program are eligible to take courses at 91´óÉñ that are not offered at JCTC or online through KCTCS. While enrolled in 91´óÉñ courses through the program, students are not eligible to take courses at 91´óÉñ above and beyond the Jefferson291´óÉñ program courses.

The pathway guides are advising tools designed to help community college students plan for transferring to 91´óÉñ to complete their baccalaureate degree. The pathway guides also constitute an agreement between community colleges and universities confirming that community college courses meet major preparation requirements.
The Jefferson291´óÉñ Program has a simple application. Please read the instructions on applying first. If you are not yet enrolled at Jefferson, apply for admission to Jefferson and enroll in an Associate degree plan.
Once you are admitted to Jefferson, just fill out the . Note: You will need to maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA throughout the program.
When the time comes for you to transfer to 91´óÉñ from Jefferson, there are a few steps that need to be completed. Please use this checklist to ensure all steps are completed in order to facilitate a smooth transfer.
